Website Generation System

Easy-to-Use Menu System

Adding Content is a Snap

Add Content and Pages
In Minutes

The Website Generation System dynamically creates web pages that display relevant content for your website visitors.

The overall strategy for using the Website Generation System is to:

  • Identify relevant search phrases people could use to find your site
  • Identify keywords in the search phrases
  • Create content describing each keyword

When someone visits a page, content files associated with the keywords in that page name are included in the page.

Let's take a short trip through the system to show you how it works.

Right after you log in, you'll see the main menu.

The main menu has all the options you need to create your website.

By selecting the "Review / Update Page Names" option from the main menu, you will be able to review existing page names and enter new page names. Each page name is a search phrase. Periods separate each word.

When the page name is actually constructed, a ".htm" will be appended to the name.

Below is an initial list of page names I began with to construct this site. At this point there were 22 page names.

After you get a good list of page names, you'll examine these names carefully.

You will see common words or short 2 or 3 word phrases that identify an important concept or piece of information. These keywords or keyword phrases are what you will work with next.

You will need to write a short HTML snippet file that describes or helps explain each of the keywords or keyword phrases. This is the heart and soul of this system.

You will then associate each keyword or keyword phrase with this short snippet that describes the keyword or keyword phrase.

You can see how this works with an initial set of phrases used for this site.

You can see that there is a snippet file "ip.htm" that is associated with the keyword "ip".

The snippet file "cloaking.htm" is associated with the keyword "cloaking".

The snippet file "website.htm" is associated with two different keywords" "website" and "web site".

The snippet file "optimize.htm" is associated with the keyword "optimiz". I left the final "e" of this keyword because that way it will match "optimize" as well as "optimization". But, we'll get to this in the user's manual.

Now that you see how this works, the next step is to add the keywords and the HTML snippet files. These will automatically be associated together when you select the "Add New Keyword" option from the main menu.

So, here you will add the keyword, snippet file, and indicate where this keyword will be placed within the list of existing keywords.

If you are worried about writing HTML you should know there are only a few things you need to know. There are plenty of websites that provide an introduction to HTML. A few sites are:

There are also a number of good books you can read at your library or purchase at your local bookstore.

After you identify a few keyword phrases and construct the HTML snippet files, you've done the hardest work.

Next, you'll need to construct a prototype HTML page into which these HTML snippet files will be placed.

When the requested page contains a keyword phrase, the associated HTML snippet file is placed into the prototype HTML page at a location where your have the text –PARAGRAPH–.

This tag, –PARAGRAPH–, is one of five tags you can place in your prototype page. Other tags are:

  • –HEADING– tag is replaced with words of the page name. This works well as a page heading and in the DESCRIPTION meta tag.
  • –COMMAPHRASES– tag is replaced with a comma delimited list page names (without the periods separating the words). This works well for the KEYWORDS meta tag.
  • –LINKS– tag is replaced with random links constructed from page names and site URLs
  • –LINKSDIRECTORY– tag is replaced with the file 'directory.dat' in the root directory. If you have a links directory you can include it on the generated pages.

You can also include tags that cause RSS news feeds to be included.

The prototype page looks just like an HTML page. It just has these extra "generate" tags.

This prototype page will be displayed for every dynamically generated page that the "Website Generation System" generates.

It probably should contain some product information, your copyright notice, and other information you always want to present.

Below is what the prototype HTML file looks like for this site:

Near the top of the prototype page are the meta tags for 'keywords" and "description". Notice that the tag –HEADING– is used in the "description" meta tag and –COMMAPHRASES– is used in the "keywords" meta tag.

Just below, in the body you can see the –HEADING– tag is used in an actual heading on the page.

By scrolling down a bit, you can see the just below the page heading is the –PARAGRAPH– tag. This is where the HTML snippets are inserted. The content of the snippet files will replace the –PARAGRAPH– tag.

And, below the –PARAGRAPH– tag is more HTML code that presents information that always appears in the generated pages.

Now, scrolling to the bottom of the file, you'll see the –LINKS– tag. Links to pages you entered at page names are randomly generated. These links replace the –LINKS– tag before the file is delivered to the user's browser.

Well, except for entering a new password and updating the configuration file, that's all there is to creating a fairly large website.

One of my newer websites that use this system has about 1,500 page names with about 50 keyword phrases. In July of 2005 it received hits from over 14,500 search phrases. It is being spidered by all the major search engines (especially Google, MSN, and Yahoo).

Next, take a look at how the Website Generation System
integrates RSS Feeds.

Website

A website is a collection of web pages that present information to those viewing your site. Each page may present text, images, sound and video files, and other types of content.

Each website has a home page. This is the page you reach when you type in the site's URL (e.g., http:/www.mysite.com) without a page name. This home page has links to other pages within the website that explain details of a specific topic.

A website usually has a number of pages related to a subject area. Each page may cover or describe a particular aspect of that subject. If a "sub-topic" is broad enough, it also can branch out to additional pages that cover aspects of that sub-topic in more detail. It's almost like having a family tree, with a main truck and various branches.

The "Website Generation System" I developed dynamically combines small snippets of web pages together to present a web page with information that reflects the web page name.

This makes constructing websites easier while at the same time ensuring that the information presented is closely related to what the end user is looking for.

Website Generation System Overview

The "Website Generation System" is a website development tool that quickly allows you to construct websites with hundreds, even thousands of content rich pages. Each page provides valuable content to people viewing your site. You can also include top selling Clickbank products (selected by keyword) and RSS feeds on your pages.
